Detroit (2-11) at Green Bay (5-8)

Detroit (2-11) at Green Bay (5-8) Sunday 1:00 pm EST

GREEN BAY, Wisconsin (Ticker) - Brett Favre loves facing the Detroit Lions.

Favre looks to continue his success against the Lions on Sunday when the Green Bay Packers host their NFC North Division rivals.

A future Hall of Famer, Favre has amassed some of his best numbers against the Lions. He has compiled a 20-9 record against Detroit, throwing for 7,600 yards and 49 touchdowns. The yards are his most against any opponent.

Favre shredded the Lions in a 31-24 victory on September 24, completing 25-of-36 passes for 340 yards and three touchdowns. He threw scoring passes of 75 yards to rookie Greg Jennings, five yards to Donald Driver and 10 yards to running back Ahman Green.

With the Packers having slim playoff hopes, Favre does have something to play for over the final three games. He has 413 career touchdown passes, putting him within seven of tying Hall of Famer Dan Marino for the most in NFL history.

Last Sunday, Favre went 22-of-34 for 293 yards and two TDs to lead the Packers to a 30-19 victory at San Francisco.

Green Bay also has enjoyed enormous success against Detroit, winning the last 15 home meetings, including playoffs, since a 21-17 loss in 1991.

The Lions have lost five straight games and enter tied with Oakland for the league's worst record. Detroit is an NFL-worst 23-79 since 2001.

Last Sunday, Jon Kitna threw for 294 yards but was intercepted three times as the Lions dropped a 30-20 decision to Minnesota.

Against the Vikings, the Lions lost running Kevin Jones to a season-ending foot injury. He rushed for 689 yards and six touchdowns to go along with 61 receptions for 520 yards and two scores in 12 games.
