Backup cornerback Will Blackmon picked up two special teams touchdowns for the Pack, returning a punt 57 yards for a TD in the second quarter and recovering a muffed punt in the end zone late in the third. Blackmon is just the fourth player in NFL history to score on a punt and fumble return in the same game and the first since Lemar Parrish did so in '74.

Packers cornerback Charles Woodson and defensive end Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila returned from injuries after sitting out last week's game. ... Packers linebacker Nick Barnett was poked in the eye but returned to the game. Left tackle Chad Clifton returned to the game after being kicked in the shin but left the game after later injuring his shoulder. ... Kiffin said he replaced McCown with Walter instead of No. 1 draft pick JaMarcus Russell because the Raiders weren't playing well enough on offense to put a rookie in the game.
Green Bay bounced back from its loss at Dallas with a solid effort in all facets of the game. The Packers used an excellent mixture of run and pass out of a variety of spread formations. This gave quarterback Brett Favre time to exploit the secondary and created creases in the running game. The Packers' 4-3 defensive scheme penetrated the Raiders’ offensive line and made it tough for Oakland to sustain many drives. Green Bay also turned two Oakland special teams blunders into touchdowns. The Packers gave a solid effort in all three phases.
