FedEx Field, Landover, MD
If the Redskins had studied history, they would have felt pretty good about their chances on Sunday. Washington's win made eight straight losses for Dallas in its season finale.
|* -- Went on to lose wild-card playoff game|
Cowboys S Keith Davis injured his left knee in the second half, but Phillips said Davis would be fine. ... There were four replay reviews in the first half. The Redskins lost all four.
The Washington Redskins went after Dallas backup QB Jacques Reeves and attacked the Cowboys’ coverage-challenged safeties in the middle of the field, and the result was a very efficient day for Washington QB Todd Collins. The Redskins also ran the ball effectively behind LT Chris Samuels and LG Pete Kendall as they secured a playoff berth against a Dallas team that obviously felt it had little to play for.
