|Twice The Fun|
The Texans' Andre Davis became just the seventh player in NFL history to return two kickoffs for touchdowns in the same game Sunday vs. the Jaguars.
The win was Houston's first in AFC South play. ... Williams' 10th touchdown reception extended his single-season team record. He has caught a touchdown pass in a team-record four straight games.
There wasn’t much defense in this finale, as the Jaguars' reserves gave up 170 yards on the ground to the Texans' marginal running game. Houston pounded the ball between the tackles and was able to get to the corner on perimeter running plays. But Jacksonville also moved the ball well. Backup QB Quinn Gray picked apart the Texans’ defense on all levels of the field and finished with four touchdown passes. The difference in the contest was Andre Davis, who returned a pair of kickoffs for touchdowns against the sluggish Jaguars special teams. It was a win-win situation for both teams, though. Houston got to .500 for the first time, and Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio was able to rest his frontline players and get key backups valuable experience.
