The King has spoken. Seven-time Sprint Cup champion Richard Petty, at Levi's Stadium, picks the Panthers in Super Bowl 50. "As good as Cam and the Panthers are playing, they are going to be tough to beat. If they play the way they have been playing, it may not be close. I can see the Panthers scoring four or five touchdowns and winning."

I case you missed the Panthers are in their black jerseys with silver pants. They are 0-2 in the black jerseys in playoff games. Then again they are 0-1 in Super Bowls when wearing white jerseys.

A personal note from the Super Bowl. I played/sat for Greg Olsen's father, Chris, my first 2 years of HS football. I can still hear him screaming at me, but it was all good stuff. It's a bit strange, at 51, talking to a 30-year-old Super Bowl tight end who looks and sounds exactly like a 30-year-old coach who got in your face at age 15. But I'm glad Olsen's dad got in my face. Anyone who played high school sports can tell you a coach can make you better and tougher for bigger games decades down the road.
