Jeff Fisher said that the concussion protocol conference call that the league has called for has not happened yet. That call apparently is scheduled for this evening, though. All 32 teams and the league expected to discuss the procedure for concussions and seek ways to make it better.

The Seahawks have placed LB Nick Moody on injured reserve and released DT A.J. Francis. They signed RB Bryce Brown and WR B.J. Daniels to the 53-man active roster. The team also placed tackle Terry Poole on practice squad/injured reserve and signed RB DuJuan Harris and WR Tyler Slavin to the practice squad.

Rams QB Case Keenum did not participate in teams light Tuesday practice as he goes through concussion protocol. Coach Jeff Fisher said theres hope that Keenum will be able to participate in at least some things in Wednesdays practice. He also confirmed again that Keenum will start this week against Cincinnati if he passes the appropriate concussion tests.

Forte expected to return on Thursday

Bears RB Matt Forte has missed the past three weeks with a knee injury but is ready to play on Thanksgiving night against the Packers. "I'm good enough to go," Forte said.

Pierce on Manziel: 'It's not worth it'

The NFL Live crew agree that Johnny Manziel being demoted to 3rd-string QB going forward says he's done. Said Antonio Pierce: "Manziel has not shown that he can be a professional on and off the field."

The Jets worked out four free agents today, including RB Kendall Hunter (49ers). The others: TE Bob Housler (Cards), DE Tim Jamison (Texans) and LB Ryan Mueller (Chargers).

The Patriots are keeping both DT Chris Jones (calf) and LB Dane Fletcher (ACL) on PUP/injured reserve this season, instead of activating them to the 53-man roster. Today was the deadline for the team to make a decision on both players, who opened the year on the PUP list and began practicing three weeks ago. This officially ends their season.

The Jets could see former No. 1 pick Quinton Coples on Sunday at MetLife Stadium. Coples was claimed on waivers by the Dolphins and chief exec Mike Tannenbaum, the former Jets GM who drafted him in 2012. Coples will arrive for tomorrow's practice; no word on whether he'll suit up, but Miami needs front seven help. Could there be gamesmanship involved? Maybe a little, but you're reaching if you think Coples' knowledge of the Jets' schemes will make a difference in the game.

Patriots WR Danny Amendola has a sprained knee and is not expected to miss extended time, according to a report from Comcast SportsNet. Amendola left Mondays game late in the third quarter and underwent an MRI on Tuesday to determine the severity of the injury. The Patriots were cautiously optimistic it wasnt a serious injury and the MRI confirmed it, according to ComcastSportsNet.

Bradford: 'I had some memory loss'

The Eagles QB has been cleared to practice after suffering a concussion on Nov. 15. It was the third concussion he has experienced. Said Bradford: "I had some memory loss. The symptoms I've had were similar to the ones I've had in the past, and I was able to recover from those." Story

Some Panthers still support Greg Hardy

Going into Sunday's game against the Panthers, it's apparent Greg Hardy still has the respect of some of his former teammates. Said OLB Thomas Davis: "Greg Hardy is a guy that you flat-out want on your football team." Story

To fill Quinton Coples' roster spot, the Jets poached OLB Josh Martin from the Colts' practice squad and added him to the 53-man roster. Previously, he played for the Bucs and Chiefs. His career numbers: 21 games, one-half sack and 28 tackles, all with the Chiefs. The Jets replaced a former No. 1 pick with a former undrafted free agent out of Columbia. It tells you how much they wanted to move on from Coples.

The Lions had full participation in practice Tuesday with only five players, including receiver Calvin Johnson (ankle) and corner Darius Slay (neck) listed as limited.

Panthers DE Frank Alexander has been suspended for one year for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse. Alexander, who is on injured reserve, was suspended twice last season for a combined 10 games.

Browns bench Manziel, McCown to start

Josh McCown will start for the Browns on Monday night and Johnny Manziel will serve as the team's third QB option behind Austin Davis, the team announced on Tuesday. Said coach Mike Pettine: "Everyone in this organization wants what is best for Johnny just like we do for every player in our locker room. I'm especially disappointed in his actions and behavior because he has been working very hard." Story
