Drew Brees said the plan vs. Texans was to avoid third-and-longs, but instead they were in third-and-long all day. Blamed execution errors and said they never gave themselves a chance.

Steelers (6-4) at Seahawks (5-5)

These teams have met twice since their Super Bowl encounter and the Steelers won both games by a combined score of 45-0. The last time the Seahawks scored a point against the Steelers was Matt Hasselbecks touchdown pass to Jerramy Stevens in the 3rd quarter of Super Bowl XL. Follow live

Rex Ryan says the Chiefs "started playing the safety a zillion yards deep" and that's why Sammy Watkins was held without a catch in the second half.

Early look at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, where the Broncos host the Patriots. Cold and potential light snowfall by 8:30 p.m. ET kickoff. Patriots 12-0 in snow games under Bill Belichick.

Jets 38, Dolphins 20 (final): The Jets live. The season still matters. They played their most complete game in nearly two months, snapping a two-game losing streak. Ryan Fitzpatrick and Brandon Marshall played pitch and catch all day, and the third-down defense dominated Ryan Tannehill. This was a much-needed win for Todd Bowles, who has received criticism in recent weeks.

Carr comes through for go-ahead TD

Raiders QB Derek Carr floated the ball perfectly to Seth Roberts for a 12-yard TD that gave his team a 24-21 win against the Titans.

Final: Jets 38, Dolphins 20

  • NYJ QB R. Fitzpatrick: 22-37, 277 yards, 4 TD
  • NYJ WR B. Marshall: 9 rec., 131 yds, 2 TD
  • MIA WR J. Landry: 13 rec., 165 yds, TD

Bengals CB Adam Jones says he definitely wasn't 100 percent today ("Maybe 65," he said). He added the two losses helped motivate him to play

Sheil Kapadia ESPN Writer

The Seahawks got help in the early games with the Falcons and Bucs losing. Seattle would move into a tie with Atlanta for a wild-card spot with a win over the Steelers. The Seahawks play the Vikings, Ravens, Browns and Rams after today.

Final: Chiefs 30, Bills 22

  • KC QB A. Smith: 19-30, 255 yards, 2 TD
  • KC WR J. Maclin: 9 rec., 160 yards, TD
  • BUF WR S. Watkins: 6 rec., 158 yds, 2 TD

Jackson takes his sweet time on TD catch

Redskins WR DeSean Jackson flew past the Giants' secondary on this long TD grab, then leisurely strolled into the end zone.

WASHINGTON 20, GIANTS 14 (FINAL): It's tough when you're down three offensive linemen, but Eli Manning picked a bad time to play his worst game of the season. Manning's three interceptions dug the Giants a 20-0 hole from which they could not recover, and Sunday's loss dropped them into a first-place tie with Washington at 5-6. They simply don't have enough depth or talent on their roster to win when they turn the ball over, though that Beckham kid is pretty good.

Final: Chargers 31, Jaguars 25

  • SD QB P. Rivers: 29-43, 300 yds, 4 TD
  • SD TE A. Gates: 4 rec, 53 yds, 2 TD
  • JAC QB B. Bortles: 30-49, 329 yds, 2 TD, INT

Officials ruled that Stevie Johnson batted the ball sideways out of bounds, which apparently is not a foul. Learn something new every day.

Chiefs at one point trailed Bills 10-0. They had lost 20 of the previous 21 games in which they trailed by at least 10 points.

Dolphins aren't feeling the rush

The Dolphins have 12 rush yards today against the Jets. If they stay at that total, it will be the 3rd-fewest rush yards in a game in team history. Their nine rush attempts are currently tied for the fewest in franchise history (1986 vs Chargers).

Watt breezes through another milestone

J.J. Watt sacks Drew Brees in the third quarter to become the second fastest player to 70 career sacks, and he celebrates by hitting a mock home run in the backfield.

Final: Redskins 20, Giants 14

  • WASH QB K. Cousins: 20-29, 302 yds, 1 TD
  • NYG QB E. Manning: 26-51, 321 yds, 2 TDs, 3 INTs
  • WASH WR D. Jackson: 2 catches, 66 yds, TD

Peterson: Vikings wanted to play physical

Adrian Peterson wanted to play fast and physical and Minnesota beat the Falcons 20-10 behind Peterson's 158 yards and two TDs.

OBJ makes another mind-blowing catch

This diving, one-handed TD grab might be the second most famous catch in Odell Beckham Jr.'s career, but it was still pretty darn good.

Jaguars show signs of life

Jacksonville blocked a San Diego punt, then scored two plays later on an acrobatic catch by Allen Robinson, cutting the Chargers' lead to 31-25 with 1:21 left. The Jaguars are out of timeouts and will need to recover an onside kick to have a shot. Follow live
