NFC South Update

  • Panthers lead Browns, 10-6
  • Falcons lead Saints, 20-7
If these fourth-quarter scores hold, the Saints are eliminated, and the NFC South will come down to next week's Panthers-Falcons game in Atlanta.

Athletes and teams are showing their support for the New York Police Department and the two officers who died in a Saturday shooting.

The Bears block the Lions' 37-yard field goal attempt to maintain a 14-10 lead early in the fourth quarter. Chicago forced Detroit's 14-play, nearly 7-minute drive come up with zero points.

The Atlanta defense forces a Jimmy Graham fumble right at the goal line. The call on the field is a fumble recovery by the Falcons and it's under review to see Graham scored before losing the ball.

Devonta Freeman has two plays today that gained at least 30 yards, including Atlanta's last touchdown to put the Falcons up 20-7. He hadn't gained 30 yards or more on a play before today.

Earlier today Antonio Brown set the Steelers' single-season receiving yards record. Now he's matched the team record for TD catches in a season, as his 12th of the year gives Pittsburgh a 17-6 lead over Kansas City.

The Texans lost Torrey Smith in coverage, and the Ravens WR ended up wide open in the end zone, where Joe Flacco connected with him for a career-high ninth receiving TD of the year for Smith, cutting Houston's lead to 16-7.
