A funny moment after the Carolina Panthers completed practice on Sunday. Coach Ron Rivera was going down the list of injuries when he was asked about "Miley." The coach responded, "Cyrus?" Uh, no, defensive end Arthur Miley, he was told. "0h, Arthur. Arthur had a sore knee," Rivera said. The singer wasn't at practice and isn't on Carolina's injury report.

Tim Jennings no longer with the Bears

The Bears are releasing the veteran CB, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Jennings, 31, has played for the Bears the past five seasons, leading the team in interceptions in 2012 with nine.

Saints WR Willie Snead, who has turned heads throughout training camp, has been their top performer in the first half today vs. the Texans. He has four catches for 56 yards and drew a PI flag on a deep route. Snead feels like a guy that has earned a roster spot even though his role on the offense isn't clear.

Fisher: Tre Mason questionable for Week 1

Rams coach Jeff Fisher said RB Tre Mason is out for the Rams' last preseason game. He has a mild right hamstring injury that occurred after a first-down reception in the first quarter of Saturday's game vs. the Colts.

Jones to see a specialist for ankle

Colts coach Chuck Pagano said they are still waiting to get more information on starting DT Art Jones' ankle injury. Pagano added that they likely won't know more about Jones' status until Monday. "Tough blow," Pagano said. "Don't want to see anybody get hurt."

Packers hopeful Cobb ready for opener

WR Randall Cobb left Saturday's preseason game with a shoulder injury, but Green Bay believes he has a good chance of playing Week 1 vs. the Bears, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky. The Packers already lost WR Jordy Nelson for the season.
