Former 49ers WR Terrell Owens and RB Roger Craig are among 25 semifinalists for Pro Football Hall of Fame consideration, the Hall announced Tuesday. Owens is a first-year candidate while this is the eighth time Craig is a semifinalist. Also, WR Isaac Bruce, who played two years for the Niners, and LB/DE Kevin Greene, who spent one year in San Francisco, were also named semifinalists. The semifinalists will be reduced to 15 Modern-Era finalists by mail ballot of the 46 selectors in January.

Report: Kaep's shoulder tear 'extensive'

Pats hit double-digit wins again

The Patriots have now won 10 or more games in each of the past 13 seasons. The only team to have a longer streak was the 49ers who did so for 16 consecutive seasons from 1983-98.

ICYMI, DL Glenn Dorsey did suffer a torn ACL in Sunday's loss at the Seattle Seahawks, the 49ers announced on Twitter. Surgery is pending. Dorsey missed last season with a torn biceps suffered in training camp.

Jim Tomsula acknowledged the 49ers will bring in two quarterbacks for workouts today, but would not identify them. "We're looking to add another quarterback here," he said, "whether it be on the 53(-man roster) or the practice squad." The Niners placed Colin Kaepernick on season-ending Injured Reserve on Saturday with a left (non-throwing) shoulder injury. Blaine Gabbert and undrafted rookie Dylan Thompson are the only QBs on the roster.
