Arizona Cardinals rookie cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was taken off the practice field on a cart after injuring his right ankle.

Rodgers-Cromartie, the Cardinals' top draft pick, rolled his right ankle during drills halfway through practice and did not return to the field.

Arizona coach Ken Whisenhunt spoke briefly after practice but provided little detail on Rodgers-Cromartie's condition.

"We'll know more tomorrow," Whisenhunt said.

BROWNS' EDWARDS STILL OUT (5:43 p.m. ET)
Browns Pro Bowl wide receiver Braylon Edwards was home again today resting his stitched-up right foot.

Wide receiver Donte' Stallworth accidentally stepped on Edwards' foot Saturday night at the end of practice. Edwards wasn't wearing shoes and Stallworth's cleat cut Edwards' heel.

Coach Romeo Crennel is confident Edwards will return in time for the regular season. He says the team will try to educate players about wearing shoes.

Crennel has scaled back Cleveland's workload as training camp approached its third week.

The banged-up Browns have a number of nagging injuries. Tight end Kellen Winslow, fullback Lawrence Vickers and backup receiver Kevin Kasper have been slowed by hamstring injuries.

Rookie tight end Martin Rucker was scheduled for an MRI exam today after he twisted his knee Monday.

JETS GETTING USED TO FAVRE (1:12 p.m. ET)
Playing with Brett Favre is taking some getting used to by the Jets' receivers.

"I've never played with a quarterback who has a no-look pass in his repertoire," rookie tight end Dustin Keller said, according to Newsday.

Tight end Bubba Franks, who played in Green Bay the past eight seasons before signing with the Jets as a free agent, knows what Keller means.

"There is no such thing as a decoy route, not as long as you have Brett back there," Franks told the Lower Hudson Journal News. "I tell the guys, even when you're covered, you're not really covered. If you have two hands, two arms, you're not covered. He's going to hit one of them. As long as you can see him, he can see you."

ANDREWS RETURNS TO EAGLES (1:00 p.m. ET)
