Todd Sievers

PK | (6-2, 214) | Miami (FL)
By Pro Football Weekly

Notes: Played in 11 games as a freshman, handling the bulk of the team's kickoff duties. Was a redshirt in 1999. Despite two concussions and a diabetes diagnosis at midseason in 2000, made 52-of-58 extra points and 11-of-17 field goals (1-of-6 from 40-49 yards). Made 7-of-8 from 40 yards and out as a junior in '01, when he converted 21-of-26 attempts and 56-of-58 extra points. Coaches named him first-team All-Big East, and the media put him on the second team. Made 12-of-20 field goals, including a career-long 53-yarder at Florida the second game of the season in '02. Named first-team All-Big East (coaches) and kicked 38-of-83 kickoffs into the endzone.

Positives: Has a very strong leg and can be accurate from long range. Leg strength is evident on kickoffs but not as consistent as scouts would like. Mechanics are above-average. Health is not a concern Sievers said he has missed just one practice in his career.

Negatives: Misses too many kicks that should be automatic for a player with his leg strength. Doesn't place kickoffs well at times.

Summary: Accuracy is the biggest question for this player, because he has the leg to kick from 50 yards, but he sprays the ball too much.
