By Pro Football WeeklyNotes: Played running back as a true freshman in 1999. Moved to safety in '00 and started four games. Played in every game and started eight times in '01. Had 27 tackles and two passes broken up in '00 and 67-2 in '01, when he was used more in the box. Added eight tackles for loss and three sacks. Started all 12 regular-season games at strong safety (plus the bowl game) in '02, recording a career-best 74 tackles, four passes broken up, one interception, three sacks and four tackles for loss. Positives: Has good to outstanding athletic ability and feet. He is flexible and tough and shows a willingness to hit. Rarely misses tackles, especially on plays he has to make as the last line of defense.Negatives: He plays high and stiff and gets turned in coverage, is slow to support and is not a sure tackler. Seems cautious in several aspects of his play and bites on double-moves. Gets turned easily. Doesn't tackle head on.Summary: Is raw, but because of the one-year improvement he made at safety in '02, some teams believe he will be better than teammate Cato June.* Player biographies are provided by Pro Football Weekly.
