In 2000, Hardy started every game at cornerback and had 43 tackles, 10 passes broken up and an interception he returned 60 yards for a touchdown. Started eight games and a bowl game in '01. Missed three games in the middle of the season after having his knee scoped. Had 30-5-0. Moved to safety in the spring of '02 and in the fall had 112-12-2, starting every game at free safety. Positives: Well-built, athletic player with good range, timed speed and makeup speed. Will support and tackle and can be physical. Made more plays in '02 than he ever made before. Negatives: Lacks attention to detail and is not a true student of the game. Tends to lose focus and get sloppy with footwork and technique. Lets receivers eat up coverage cushion, then relies on makeup speed. Does not play the ball well.Summary: Has not done enough to develop his talent but did more in '02.
