By Pro Football WeeklyNotes: Started once as a redshirt freshman in 1999, all nine games he played in 2000 and every game in '01 and '02. Had 11 tackles and broke up two passes in '99. Recorded 49 tackles, broke up three passes in 2000; and 78-15 and two interceptions in '01. Was the team's leading tackler in '02 with 109. Also broke up 13 passes and picked off one. Missed the last four games in '99 with a shoulder injury and two games in 2000 with a concussion. Missed spring practice in '01 while recovering from shoulder surgery.Positives: Very tough for size. Quick to support against the run and is a good hitter and tackler. Alert, zone-type corner who reacts to the ball. Is effective in short coverage. Negatives: Rarely plays up on the line in press position and will struggle in transition when playing man-on-man. Gets beaten deep a lot and may not have deep makeup speed. Too small to be a safety on the next level and speed is a concern as a corner.Summary: Undersized zone corner with a big heart but a lot of physical limitations.* Player biographies are provided by Pro Football Weekly.
