By Pro Football WeeklyNotes: Forty time is from 2001. High school track champion in the 100-meter (10.5) and 200 (21.7). Played in two games in '97 and redshirted. Saw limited action in '98 and '99. Played in every game in 2000 and started four times at safety. Started three games at cornerback in '01 before suffering a fractured left ankle in practice. Was awarded a second redshirt year, so he played '02 as a sixth-year senior. Suggs had 45 tackles, broke up two passes and intercepted one pass in '00. Had 16-3-1 before he was injured. Started 10 games in '02 and had 55-8-1.Positives: Has NFL size, speed and athletic skills. With his build, may be able to play inside if he becomes a little more physical and improves his tackling. Can change directions in coverage. Very strong. Smooth hips. Can tackle and hit. Makes big plays, but also gives them up. Good special-teams player.Negatives: Lacks instincts in coverage and gets turned around too often. Will get burned on occasion and is not very physical. Might not have the overall athletic ability to play cornerback, but he has the speed and size.Summary: Experienced corner who may not get a sniff because of his history of injuries, but could develop as a strong safety if he learns to be more physical and stays healthy. * Player biographies are provided by Pro Football Weekly.
