By Pro Football WeeklyNotes: Hinds Junior College (Miss.) transfer. Played in 10 games and started nine in 2001. Had an emergency appendectomy in the middle of October but missed only 12 days and one game. Finished the year with 30 tackles and four tackles for loss. Started all but one game in '02 and had 58-7 and two sacks.Positives: A good athlete who is quick and has explosive takeoff. Has awareness and intelligence and defeats blockers, can shed and knows how to use his hands. Has good play strength to hold the point of attack and plays best in a small area. Can change directions and has balance and body control. Will flash explosiveness and a powerful bull rush. Did 30 reps of 225 at the Scouting Combine. Can get leverage and plays hard.Negatives: Doesn't have long speed and wants to be a game-day player only. Isn't committed in workouts and is inconsistent. Loses leverage easily. Has had left knee and back problems and is prone to seizures when he does not take his medication.Summary: Has improved steadily but has to understand that football is now his job, and he can lose it if his performance isn't satisfactory.* Player biographies are provided by Pro Football Weekly.
