DT | (5-10, 290, 4.95) | Kansas State
By Pro Football WeeklyNotes: Outstanding high school wrestler and running back who also played baseball and competed on the track circuit. Went to Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College, where he moved to the defensive line and stood out. Came to Kansas State in 2001 and was an instant-impact player. Started from Day One and was the Big 12 coaches' Defensive Newcomer of the Year. Had 49 stops, including seven for loss, and one sack. Started all 12 games in '02 and had 59-4-2½.Positives: Is very quick off the line and has football smarts. Plays hard all the time and has a high motor. Seems to be better on the move and in gaps. Overall production is good and could get better because of quickness and level of intensity.Negatives: Is very cocky and believes he is all-world. Gets swallowed up by bigger blockers because of his lack of height. Has short arms and will not be a good pass rusher. Struggles to shed blocks when people get their hands on him. Doesn't always see and find the ball.Summary: Should be in an NFL camp, but is a what-you-see-is-what-you-get prospect who struggles to shed because of his short arms. * Player biographies are provided by Pro Football Weekly.
