By Pro Football WeeklyNotes: Partial qualifier in 1998. Played in two games in '99 after coming back from a knee injury and lettered. Top backup in every game in 2000 and '01 and had one start in 2000. Despite starting only twice in '01, was a second-team All-Mountain West Conference player. Had 36 tackles and four for loss in 2000 and 25-11 and five sacks in '01. Had to graduate to play in '02. Started 10-of-11 games, making 23-4-1 and was named All-MWC for the second year in a row. English is his second language.Positives: Very quick, explosive and disruptive inside when he keeps his pads down. Plays with good leverage, has an explosive first step, uses his hands well and sheds. Has good athletic ability and good balance. Is quick, explosive and flexible and plays with low pad level. Has a short burst and explosive lower body.Negatives: Is not a self-starter and needs a push. Laid-back player who is also high-maintenance. However, will work if pushed. Lacks size and does not have good timed speed for his size. Has had back problems.Summary: Came on his final two years, but he is undersized and too slow to be an impact player in the NFL unless he improves in one or both of those areas.* Player biographies are provided by Pro Football Weekly.
