By Pro Football WeeklyNotes: Three-year starter at nose tackle who redshirted in 1998. Played in seven games but did not start in '99, when he had six tackles and one forced fumble. Started eight-of-11 games in 2000 and had 21 tackles, four tackles for loss and no forced fumbles. Started every game in '01 and had 52-7-1 and five sacks. Started 11-of-13 games in '02 and had 28 tackles, four for loss, two sacks and one forced fumble. Was an honorable mention All-ACC.Positives: A position-leverage defensive tackle who is the anti-Drano because he is a superb clogger. Really anchors and makes it difficult for offensive linemen to move him out of gaps without a double team. Has balance and body control, good quickness and very good straight-line speed. Added nearly 40 pounds during college career. Very good weight-room worker.Negatives: Won't make many plays in the backfield. Plays shorter than he is and lacks great size. Is a marginal athlete who can balloon up if he doesn't pay close attention to his weight.Summary: With the right attitude, Sharpe could stick on an NFL roster as a depth player this summer.* Player biographies are provided by Pro Football Weekly.
