In '01, he had 46-8-4 and three interceptions splitting time at defensive tackle and defensive end because of injuries. Played 11 games and started 10, including a two-sack game vs. Houston. Associated Press first-team All-Southeastern Conference in '02, second-team All-SEC by the coaches. Had two 10-tackle games (Florida, Auburn) as a junior, when he totaled 74-15½-4.Positives: Has very good athletic ability and good to good-plus size, strength and quickness. Anticipates well and flows to the ball. Can key and diagnose and has innate recognition skills. Doesn't lose much changing directions and maintains a good pad level. When playing his best, will create havoc in the backfield, play with leverage and flashes pass-rush skills. Is persistent and plays until the whistle blows on every down.Negatives: Can be slow off the ball and lose leverage. Needs to develop counter moves. Has below-average feet and will miss tackles, especially in space.Summary: A 60-minute player whose greatest strength might be his consistency.
