Brennan Curtin

SELECTED BY PITTSBURGH , ROUND 7, PICK 11, OVERALL PICK 212
OT | (6-9, 318, 5.25) | Notre Dame
By Pro Football Weekly

Notes: Did not see varsity action as a rookie offensive tackle in 1999. Played in four games as a top reserve at tackle in 2000. Started two games at right tackle and four at left in '01. Started 11-of-12 games at right tackle in '02.

Positives: Great size with long arms and a frame to grow. Shows adequate quickness, agility and balance. Good in space. Quick in confined areas. Knee-bender who plays with good leverage. Quick off the line. Moves well laterally. Adequate in pass protection. Versatile and has played both OT positions. Better football intelligence than IQ.

Negatives: Lacks strength and explosiveness. Gets overextended at times and does not have great technique or footwork. Lacks pop and a good punch. Lacks athletic ability. Raw and inexperienced. May be too tall.

Summary: Developmental type who should have stayed in school and matured physically. Shows some tools to be a quality right tackle if a team is willing to take a chance on him as a free agent.
