Adam Goldberg

OT | (6-5, 325, 5.4) | Wyoming
By Pro Football Weekly

Notes: Redshirted in 1998. Started all 11 games at left tackle in '99 but was beaten for nine sacks. Moved to the right side in 2000 and started every game. All-Mountain West Conference pick at left tackle in '01, despite missing one full game and being weakened at times by mononucleosis. Started all 12 games last fall.

Positives: Big, durable and technically sound pass blocker. Is one of the team's top weightlifters and uses his big body well by getting position and taking good angles. Has a bubble butt. Is average-plus on the second level. Plays hard.

Negatives: Does too much absorbing and not enough attacking and hand-fighting. Is not nasty and struggles against good-to-outstanding players. Struggles to finish and handle inside counter moves. Doesn't roll hips and plays too upright, losing his anchor.

Summary: Goldberg is too vulnerable to speed and double-back moves to be a left tackle at the next level, but if he takes mean pills and becomes a more aggressive and physical player, he will be worth a look as a right tackle or guard.
