By Pro Football WeeklyNotes: Redshirt in 1998, a backup in '99 and a starter the last three years. Associated Press first-team Little All-American in '01. Played at 290 pounds in '01 but was up to 315 at the 2003 Senior Bowl, though he didn't show well against top competition. Started all 13 games at left tackle last fall but would have to play inside or at right tackle early in his NFL career.Positives: King-sized left tackle with long arms. Quick off ball and quick to set up in pass protection. Good athletic ability. Good pass blocker at his level. Hustles and has a frame with room for more weight and bulk. Ran well at the Combine, but must improve his upper-body strength.Negatives: Is a pusher who lacks pop and explosion as a run blocker and relies on his size and positioning to get it done. Also lacks power and pop in his hand punch. Needs work on run- and pass-blocking technique. Not mean or nasty. A true "Mr. Nice Guy." Raw. Struggles in space. Doesn't play with good leverage. Lacks upper-body strength. Didn't show vs. top competition at the Senior Bowl.Summary: Will take a few years to develop, but he is a finesse tackle who could play a long time in the league. Because of his rare size and agility, he could move up the boards like Jeff Hatch did a year ago.* Player biographies are provided by Pro Football Weekly.
