Todd Williams

SELECTED BY DENVER , ROUND 7, PICK 24, OVERALL PICK 225
OT | (6-4, 340, 5.15) | Florida State
By Pro Football Weekly

Notes: Had a very tough childhood. Redshirted in 1998. Saw limited action in '99, played on the second unit in 2000 and started every game the last two seasons. Played tackle in '01 but moved to offensive guard last fall after Milford Brown was declared academically ineligible.

Positives: Big, thick widebody with long arms. Uses size and bulk power well. Can muscle and maul and engulf his man.

Negatives: Tends to play too upright and will lose leverage. Looks stiff in the lower body. Short-area player. Will struggle to block on the second level. Lacks quick feet and does not have very good body control. Has trouble shifting his weight and redirecting. Will get off-balance at times. Has to be a right tackle or guard. Does not take negative coaching well and needs special handling.

Summary: A big mauler who needs to go to a zone-blocking team that likes big widebodies and does not ask them to block too much on the second level.
