RB | (6-0, 215, 4.6) | Memphis
By Pro Football WeeklyNotes: Signed with Clemson in 1999, when current Memphis head coach Tommy West was the head man at Clemson, but wound up at Middle Georgia for two years. Rejoined West at Memphis in 2001. Played in 10 games, started nine and missed one with a severe cut on his elbow in '01 and led the team in rushing with 184 carries for 902 yards and 11 touchdowns and also caught 13 passes for 65 yards and a touchdown. Twisted an ankle prior to the '02 season and never was 100 percent healthy. Still, he played in every game, rushing 133-562-6 and catching 10-97-1.Positives: Productive back with good size and vision who runs hard and finishes off his runs. Breaks arm tackles. Has average-plus speed.Negatives: Plays in a shotgun-based offense, which opens up things for him. Tends to run a little tall and is not an elusive, make-you-miss runner. Nor is he a natural receiver or an effective blocker. Still lacks flexibility. Summary: A solid runner who is not a good receiver.* Player biographies are provided by Pro Football Weekly.
