By Pro Football WeeklyNotes: Redshirted in 1998. Lettered in '99, with most of his action coming on special teams. Top backup fullback in 2000. Started the first seven games in '01 and played in the first nine before a bad turf-toe injury forced him to sit out the final two games. Carried 22 times for 132 yards and caught three passes for 19 yards in 2000. Rushed 26-136 and caught 5-56 with a touchdown in '01. Carried 23-121 and caught 15-221-2, including a 100-yard receiving game vs. Wyoming, in '02.Positives: Used more like an H-back than a true fullback, but does do some lead blocking. Is a decent blocker. Is strong for his size and has speed and toughness. Has really improved since he enrolled. Is quick to hit the hole and runs hard.Negatives: Doesn't play at or even close to timed speed. Doesn't get his pads low enough and can be narrow-based. Has little blocking ability.Summary: Will have to improve blocking to play fullback or tight end because all of his skills say "H-back."* Player biographies are provided by Pro Football Weekly.
