RB | (5-8, 206, 4.55) | Kansas
By Pro Football WeeklyNotes: A fourth-year junior who decided to forgo his senior season and enter the draft. Redshirted in 1999. Was the No. 3 running back in 2000, when he carried the ball 54 times for 207 yards with two touchdowns. Started nine of 10 games in '01, rushing 181-804-3 and caught four passes for 44 yards. Played in five games in '02, carried 32-72-1 and caught 1-15-0.Positives: Runs and is built low to the ground, but has a solid frame, good vision and outstanding body control. Shows a decent burst to and through the line of scrimmage. A solid cutback runner when he keeps his pads low and slashes instead of dancing.Negatives: Not an every-down back at Kansas and was not the most productive back. Lacks prototype size and great speed and seems to have only one gear. Doesn't have the suddenness or initial quickness scouts look for. Won't be able to run outside at the next level. Has not developed receiving skills and lacks soft, natural hands. Summary: Has some tools and could get a chance to become a short-yardage back but he lacks the big-play ability to be an every-down player if he is picked up as a free agent.* Player biographies are provided by Pro Football Weekly.
