By Pro Football WeeklyNotes: Did not run at the Combine after fracturing his left foot at the Senior Bowl on January 18 and 40 time is from spring 2002. Played in four games in 1999 but did not start and rushed 16 times for 62 yards. Started two of seven games in 2000 and rushed 39 times for 188 yards and caught nine passes for 28 yards. Started three games in '01 and played in all 11. Rushed 100-441 with four touchdowns and caught 12 passes for 115 yards. Was a standout in spring '02 and started 11-of-12 games in the fall, rushing 283-1,467-13 and catching 12-37 and two scores.Positives: Strong, hard-charging, north-south runner with great power and body lean. Finishes his runs and breaks first tackle. Can still see cracks in the line and has good hands. Stocky build and straight-ahead running style makes him tough to bring down, especially in the secondary because he runs with all elbows and thigh pads. Maintains a good pad level. Huge legs, some quickness and pretty good vision and balance.Negatives: Is not reliable at times and has stretches where he doesn't seem to run with enough power. Takes reps off. Not committed as a worker. Struggles as a pass-blocker and can leave the ball unprotected. Doesn't make sudden cuts and is not a threat as an outside runner.Summary: Because he is not fast or explosive, Pinner won't be seen as more than a change-of-pace back.* Player biographies are provided by Pro Football Weekly.
