RB | (5-10, 201, 4.6) | Clemson
By Pro Football WeeklyNotes: Played in five of 12 games as a true freshman in 1999 and rushed 43 times for 206 yards and two touchdowns and caught two passes for eight yards. Played in every game in 2000 and ran 69-222-4 with 5-50 receiving. Remained a backup in '01, when he played in 12 games and ran 75-368-1 and caught 3-77-1. Was supposed to be featured back in '02, but split carries, almost equally, with Yusef Kelly. Ran 117-488-6 and caught 11-96-0. Positives: Sturdy back who seemed to produce at the highest level under pressure, especially bowl games. Falls forward and can line up in the slot.Negatives: Lacks a second gear. Doesn't show great balance or vision and is slow to read cutback lanes. Had more than 15 carries in only three career games. Doesn't catch the ball as well as scouts would like.Summary: Lack of speed and home-run ability make him a longshot.* Player biographies are provided by Pro Football Weekly.
