TE | (6-5, 262, 4.9) | Arizona
By Pro Football WeeklyNotes: Was recruited by some as a defensive end but came to Arizona to play offense. Redshirted in 1998, when coaches named him the top offensive scout-team player. Played in every game in '99 but saw limited action overall and caught one pass for one yard. Played 11 games in 2000 but did not have a catch. Started five of 10 games in '01 and caught 9-56 with one touchdown. In '02, he played in every game, caught 4-59-1 and was named honorable mention All-Pacific-10.Positives: Top character. King-sized tight end who is a superior blocker and can be dominant in line. Has good body control and decent quickness and moves his feet laterally as a blocker. Has the size to swallow linebackers and even some defensive ends at the point of attack. Works hard to sustain blocks and has good lower-body strength. Always keeps moving on contact.Negatives: Lacks even average speed and lacks durability. Doesn't have soft, natural hands but can catch. Summary: Could find his way to an NFL training camp as a second tight end or short-yardage type.* Player biographies are provided by Pro Football Weekly.
