Carl Morris

WR | (6-2, 214, 4.63) | Harvard
By Pro Football Weekly

Notes: Scored 1,190 on the SAT. Played just one year of high school football but lettered in soccer, basketball and baseball. Played in every game as a freshman at Harvard and started twice. Started every game the past three years. Caught 60 passes for 920 yards and eight touchdowns in 2000. Ivy League Player of the Year in '01, when he caught 71-943-12, completed 2-of-3 passes for 78 yards and a touchdown, and returned 18 punts for 93 yards. Had a career-best 90 catches for 1,288-8 in '02.

Positives: Excellent all-around athlete. May have been the best athlete playing football in the Ivy League or at least is on the short list. Fine size, instincts and intelligence. Is very versatile, productive and physical and has soft, natural hands. Improving straight-line speed.

Negatives: Lacks speed as a wide receiver and size as an H-back. Is not an NFL punt returner, unless you want a hands guy who lacks big-play speed. Is not sudden and may have trouble getting separation on the next level.

Summary: Has a chance to make it with a team that wants a big possession receiver.
