WR | (5-9, 195, 4.55) | CINCINNATI
By Pro Football WeeklyNotes: Played football, basketball and baseball in high school. Conference USA Co-Offensive Freshman of the Year in 1999, when he caught 37 passes for 547 yards and four touchdowns. Dropped off to 23-290-2 in 2000, when he missed a game. Had his best year in '01, catching 73-902-3 and winning All-Conference USA first-team honors. Was nearly as productive in '02 with 70-844-5. Has also played some college baseball as an outfielder but puts football first. Positives: Built more like a running back and is really well-built with only five percent body fat. Good all-around athlete. Has the quickness to separate on the shorter routes. Shows some run after the catch and can return punts and kickoffs and has done so. Negatives: Lacks height for a receiver and is more of an underneath receiver who is more quick than fast. Is not a very physical player. Does too much body-catching and does not seem to really trust his hands at times. Was not very effective when he returned kickoffs and punts. Could improve work ethic and practice habits as well as his effort to block.Summary: Could catch on as a fifth receiver who also lines up as a third-down back at times if he improves his work ethic and overall game.* Player biographies are provided by Pro Football Weekly.
