Veteran defenseman signs 1-year deal

Florida Panthers: Veteran defenseman Lyle Odelein landed with his seventh NHL team Tuesday when he signed a one-year contract with the Panthers.

Terms for the unrestricted free agent were not disclosed.

Odelein, 35, split last season between Chicago and Dallas and had seven goals and four assists in 68 games.
