CBC News: Canucks star will plead to assault

VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- It appears Todd Bertuzzi has struck a deal.

CBC News is reporting Tuesday that the Vancouver Canucks forward will accept a plea bargain Wednesday morning from the British Columbia Crown after being charged with assault causing bodily harm for attacking Steve Moore of the Colorado Avalanche during a March 8 game.

Bertuzzi pleaded not guilty to the assault charge Aug. 26 during a brief hearing at the British Columbia Provincial Court.
