Hurricanes to retire Francis' jersey in January

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Ron Francis' No. 10 jersey will be retired by the Carolina Hurricanes in January.

Francis won Stanley Cups in Pittsburgh in 1991 and 1992 and helped the Hurricanes make a surprise run to the Cup finals in 2002. The four-time All-Star retired last month, ending a 23-year career in which he ranked among the NHL's career leaders in several categories.
