Ricci sent to AHL to begin conditioning work

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Phoenix center Mike Ricci, sidelined all season following neck surgery, has been assigned to the San Antonio Rampage for conditioning work, the Coyotes said Thursday.

Ricci, injured in the offseason, was given medical clearance to practice on Nov. 9.

The 35-year-old Ricci has 243 goals in 15 NHL seasons. He had 10 goals and six assists with the Coyotes last season.
