Ex-NHLer to play for college team
HALIFAX -- Mike Danton, the former NHL player convicted of conspiracy to commit murder, is expected to play his first game for Saint Mary's University on Wednesday.
Athletic director Steve Sarty confirmed Tuesday that the 29-year-old Danton will suit up against for the first time against the Acadia Axemen in Halifax.
Danton was released from prison in September after serving more than five years in the United States and Canada. He enrolled earlier this month at Saint Mary's.
