Halak signs 4-year deal with Blues

The St. Louis Blues have signed newly acquired goalie Jaroslav Halak to a four-year contract, the team announced Tuesday.

The deal is worth a total of $15 million, with a $3.75 million yearly cap hit, a source told ESPN.com.

Halak, 25, will earn $2.75 million next season; $3.5 million in 2011-12; $4.25 million in 2012-13; and $4.5 million in 2013-14.
