Hurricanes acquire Cory Stillman

RALEIGH, N.C. -- The Carolina Hurricanes acquired forward Cory Stillman from the Florida Panthers on Thursday in exchange for forward Ryan Carter and a draft pick.

The trade gives the Hurricanes a veteran goal-scorer as they push for their second playoff berth since they won their only Stanley Cup in 2006. Stillman was a key member of that team.
