Sabres lead most improved teams out of 2015 draft

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- We knew the Sabres were going to be better. We knew they were getting a franchise-changing center in Jack Eichel. The only suspense was just how long GM Tim Murray’s Eichel announcement would take -- and he kept it under four seconds.

Rangers sign two in free agency

New York added forwards Matt Lindblad and Jayson Megna today. Both players come from East rivals: Lindblad from Boston and Megna from Pittsburgh.

Leafs trade Phil Kessel to Penguins

The Maple Leafs received Kasperi Kapanen, Nick Spaling, Scott Harrington and a first-round draft pick in return. Additional players could be involved, as well. Andrej Sekera leaving Kings for Oilers

The defenseman agreed to a six-year, $33 million deal with Edmonton, a source told ESPN's Pierre LeBrun. Sekera joined L.A. in a February trade with Carolina. In nine seasons, he has 31 goals, 128 assists and a plus-7 rating in 486 games.
