PITTSBURGH -- Martin Straka isn't in Pittsburgh anymore, but the Penguins aren't done paying him.

When Pittsburgh arranged a deal to trade Straka to the Kings, the team agreed to pick up half of his $4.7 million salary for the 2004-2005 season. Los Angeles is required to pay Straka's salary in full this season.

The Penguins acquired left winger Sergei Anshakov and defenseman Martin Strbak in the deal with the Kings.

Despite Straka's salary next season, Pittsburgh is saving about $5 million dollars in the deal.
