COLUMBUS, Ohio -- St. Louis Blues goaltender Chris Osgood bruised his knee Monday night when he fell awkwardly following being struck in the leg by a puck shot by teammate Bryce Salvador.

Osgood was injured 3:52 into St. Louis' game against the Columbus Blue Jackets and did not return.

He left the net and was skating back in front when Salvador tried to clear the puck. But instead of getting it out of the zone, Salvador slapped it off the back of Osgood's leg.

Osgood fell to the ice, his stick a few feet away, while the Blues scrambled to control the puck in the final seconds of Columbus' power play. He was helped off the ice, and Brent Johnson replaced him 3:52 into the game.
