Three Philadelphia players suspended
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Three members of the Philadelphia Phantoms were suspended by the AHL on Tuesday for their roles in a game-ending brawl against the Binghamton Senators over the weekend that forced officials to end the game early because there weren't enough players to continue.
Forward Mike Siklenka was suspended for six games, forward Peter Vandermeer was suspended for four games and goaltender Neil Little was suspended for two games.
The teams were involved in a series of brawls near the end of the game on Sunday. A total of 379 penalty minutes were assessed in the game, won by Binghamton 5-1.
Both teams were also fined an undisclosed amount.
