Modano missed six games

CALGARY, Alberta -- All-Star center Mike Modano was activated by Dallas from the injured list Saturday before the Stars played the Calgary Flames.

Modano missed six games because of a groin injury and didn't
travel with the Stars for the start of the five-game road trip, the
longest of the season. He rejoined the team Thursday in Colorado.

Despite just 25 points and a career-worst minus-19 rating in his
first 40 games, Modano was voted by fans as a Western Conference
starter for the NHL All-Star game next month.

It will be Modano's second straight start, and he will be joined
in the lineup by two Dallas teammates, forward Bill Guerin and
goaltender Marty Turco.
