Visnovsky checked into boards

EDMONTON, Alberta -- Los Angeles defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky was taken off the ice on a stretcher after falling awkwardly into the boards Saturday night in a game against Edmonton.

Visnovsky was checked by Oilers forward Ethan Moreau and fell
into the boards in the second period, apparently hitting his head
and left shoulder. Visnovsky was able to sit up as he was carted
off the ice, his left arm secured against his body.

Kings forward Ian Laperriere got into a fight with Moreau
moments after the play.

Visnovsky had six goals and 19 assists this season.
