Philly using call-ups in goal

The Philadelphia Flyers have acquired goalie Sean Burke from the Phoenix Coyotes, ESPN's John Buccigross has learned.

The deal is expected to be announced after Sunday's NHL All-Star Game.

The Flyers currently are relying on two AHL regulars because Robert Esche and Jeff Hackett are hurt. Esche is out three weeks with a sprained left knee, and Hackett is out indefinitely with vertigo.

Antero Niittymaki, who was recalled Tuesday from the AHL Phantoms, has had two good starts, but Burke is a three-time All-Star.

Niittymaki has stopped 39 of the 41 shots he has faced in his two wins combined, giving him a .951 save percentage, and he has a 1.01 goals-against average.

Burke has a 2.81 GAA and a .908 save percentage this season and a 2.97 and a .902 for his career.
