Orszagh avoids arbitration, signs $1M deal

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Nashville Predators on Monday
re-signed forward Vladimir Orszagh.

Orszagh will earn $1 million this season, a $250,000 increase from his previous deal, ESPN.com has learned.

Orszagh played in all 82 games last season and had a career-high
37 points -- tying career bests with 16 goals and 21 assists -- to
help the Predators make the playoffs for the first time in their
six-year history. He has scored at least 15 goals in each of the
last three seasons.

The 27-year-old Orszagh has been named to Slovakia's 2004 World
Cup team.

Within the past couple of weeks, the team also re-signed
All-Star goaltender Tomas Vokoun and forward Steve Sullivan.
