Rangers sign three forwards
Ortmeyer had two goals, four assists and 16 penalty minutes in 58 games with the Rangers during the 2003-04 season. Last season, he had seven goals, 20 assists and 63 penalty minutes in 61 games with the Hartford Wolf Pack in the American Hockey League.
Weller had 10 goals, nine assists and 189 penalty minutes in 76 games for Hartford last season.
Rozsival, who played in the Czech Republic last season, had two goals, 13 assists and 70 penalty minutes in 51 games. A fourth-round pick by Pittsburgh in the 1996 draft, he missed the 2003-04 season with the Penguins because of a knee injury.
Rohloff has appeared in 75 career NHL games with Washington and Columbus. He played 12 games for Rochester of the American Hockey League before an injury ended his 2004-05 season.
The 31-year-old defenseman made his NHL debut with Washington during the 2001-02 season. He started 2003-04 with Columbus and later was claimed off waivers by the Capitals.
Salei, 30, has played all of his 516 NHL games for Anaheim, and ranks third on the team's list in career games.
He has 25 goals, 61 assists and 621 penalty minutes for the Ducks.
Salei, a 6-foot-1, 213-pounder, played the 2004-2005 season with Ak Bars Kazan in the Russian Elite League. He had eight goals, 12 assists and 36 penalty minutes in 35 games.
Toronto Maple Leafs: The Leafs re-signed forward Alexei Ponikarovsky to a two-year contract.
The 25-year-old Ponikarovsky, had six points in 19 games for Voskresensk of the Russian Hockey League last season. In 2003-04 with Toronto, he had a career-high 28 points, including nine goals in 73 games.
The native of Ukraine has played 116 career NHL games for Toronto.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. He was a restricted free agent.
