Repeat offender might face stiff penalty for kicking
Senators wing Martin Havlat is being reviewed by the NHL and might face suspension following a kicking incident Saturday during the Ottawa-Boston game, TSN reported.
Havlat, after being knocked into the back of the net, kicked Boston defenseman Hal Gill during the Senators' 5-1 win over the Bruins.
Havlat was not penalized on the play but the kick was taken under review by the NHL's hockey operations department. No disciplinary hearing has been scheduled yet but one is expected before the Senators play their next home game Friday at Tampa Bay, TSN reported.
The Bruins, who opened the season with two losses, had their three-game winning streak snapped.
